What Renomly collects, why, and what happens to it. Written to be read, not skimmed past.

Who we are

Renomly is operated by Techvando. When this policy says "we", it means the Renomly team at Techvando. You can reach us through the contact page.

What we collect

  • Application and contact forms. Your name, email address, website, and anything you write in the message. We use it to reply to you and, if you are accepted, to set up your account.
  • Project data. The website, brand name, industry, location and competitor names you enter when you create a project. This is what the scans are about.
  • Scan output. The questions asked, the full answers each AI engine gave, the grading of those answers, and the audit of your website. Reports are private to their owners and are marked so search engines do not index them.
  • Technical records. Your IP address is used to limit how many applications and scans one address can submit in a day. Those counters expire within two days. Cloudflare, which hosts Renomly, keeps standard request logs on our behalf.

What we do not do

  • We do not run advertising trackers or third-party analytics scripts on this site.
  • We do not sell or rent your information to anyone.
  • We do not send your personal details to AI engines. The engines receive questions about your business, such as "who is the best dentist in Whittier", never your name, email or account data.
  • We do not publish or share your report, your questions, the answers the engines gave or the claims they made. The only public use of scan output is the aggregate figures described in the next section.

Aggregate figures we publish

A few figures on the public site are measured across every completed scan taken together, for example how many brands the average AI answer names, or what share of the claims that could be checked against a website turned out to be wrong. They are computed over the whole set at once. They never include a brand name, a website, a question, an answer or a claim from any single scan, and we do not publish a figure where the sample is small enough for it to be traced back to one business. Scans we run ourselves for demonstrations are left out. Each figure states the date it was measured and the size of the sample behind it, and it is refreshed from the same data rather than estimated.

The figures currently shown are measured across every answer Renomly collected for real businesses up to 8 September 2026: 3,441 judged answers and 7,430 extracted claims across ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews. "Wrong" means the claim contradicted the business's own website. An asterisk next to a figure on the site points here.

If you would rather your scans were left out of these figures, tell us through the contact page and we will exclude them.

Cookies

The public site sets no cookies. Signed-in operators of the Renomly console receive a single session cookie so they stay logged in. That is the only cookie Renomly uses.

Third parties that process data

  • AI engine providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google and Perplexity) receive the customer questions we ask about your business through their official APIs, under their own terms.
  • Cloudflare hosts the site, the database connection and the storage that holds reports.
  • Backlink data providers receive your website's domain name so we can check its authority. They receive nothing else.

How long we keep things

Applications and messages are kept while we are in contact with you and for a reasonable period afterwards so we can answer follow-ups. Project data and reports are kept for as long as your account is active, so you can track change over time. When an account closes, its projects and reports are deleted on request.

Your choices

You can ask us at any time to show you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Write to us through the contact page from the email address you used with us and we will act on it promptly.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will update the date at the top and, for account holders, say so by email. Continued use of Renomly after a change means you accept the updated policy.
