What AI search tracking measures
When a customer asks an AI assistant "who is the best plumber near me" or "is this clinic legit", the answer names a few businesses and the decision is mostly made. AI search tracking records those answers on a schedule and turns them into numbers you can act on:
- Whether you are named when the question never mentioned you.
- Who else is named, in what order, and how often.
- What the AI believes about you: hours, services, location, reputation, and whether those beliefs are true.
- Which pages the AI cites when it does name you, and whether they still exist.
- How all of this changes from one run to the next.
Why it is not rank tracking
A rank tracker checks one position for one keyword on one results page. AI search has no positions and no single results page. The same question gets a different answer on ChatGPT than on Perplexity, a different answer with web search than without it, and often a different answer an hour later. Tracking it means asking many questions, across engines, repeatedly, and reading each answer rather than counting a slot.
That is why Renomly grades every answer with a separate model and keeps the full text. A score you can trace to a sentence is a measurement. A score you cannot is a guess.
How Renomly tracks AI search
- Real customer questions. Discovery, comparison and legitimacy questions built from search data for your market, never hinting your brand name.
- Five engines, through official APIs where they exist. ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews, each labelled with how it answered.
- Evidence-based grading. Mentions, rival brands, factual claims and citations are extracted from the answer text, with the quote attached.
- Known versus findable. Discovery questions run with and without web search, so you learn whether AI has absorbed you or merely looks you up.
- A score and a fix list. One number from 0 to 100, and a plan ordered by impact that starts with your own website.

Who it is for
Renomly is built for businesses that serve a place and the agencies that look after them: home care agencies, dental and medical practices, law firms, roofers, contractors, and anyone whose customers used to find them through a search box and now ask an assistant instead. Plans start with a free scan and grow to agency depth; the pricing page lists what each tier tracks.
