The brands you did not know about
You enter the competitors you already watch. Renomly also records every brand the engines volunteer, and the list is usually a surprise: a franchise two towns over, a directory posing as a provider, a business that closed last year and lives on in the model's memory. All of them are competing for the same answers, and you cannot plan around rivals you cannot see.
What is measured
- Share of answers for every named brand, across engines and questions, so you can see who owns your market in AI terms.
- Average position when several businesses are named in one answer, because the first name gets the call.
- Questions won and lost: which prompts a rival appears on that you do not, and the other way round.
- Per-engine differences: a rival that dominates Perplexity may be absent from ChatGPT, which points at a different fix.
Turning it into a plan
When a competitor wins a question, the engines usually cite why: a page that answers it plainly, a directory listing with consistent details, reviews that mention the exact service. Renomly reads those citations and turns the gap into a fix list item, so "they win this question" becomes "publish this page" or "fix this listing".
Competitor mentions feed the visibility score and appear on every tracked prompt. Plans differ in how many competitors you can name, from 3 on Starter to 12 on Agency; see the pricing page.
